Palm Springs Garden
Palm Springs Garden
Original acrylic painting professionally framed and ready to hang.
76x60cm, framed in Raw Tasmanian Oak
A playful take on the iconic Palm Springs garden — palms, cacti, sculptural plants, warm colour and mid-century California character. Bold shapes and graphic botanical forms turn the landscape into a colourful, stylised garden that feels both retro and contemporary.
The painting was created as a commission inspired by a client's own garden. She is incredibly proud of it and spends hours outside tending to it, enjoying it and noticing all the little details.
Rather than painting the garden literally, I reduced it to the elements that give it its character and reimagined them through my own colourful, graphic style. The result is a celebration of the way it is experienced and enjoyed.
For lovers of Palm Springs, desert gardens and colourful interiors, this is a little slice of California sunshine for the wall.
