Flowers For Mummy | Print
Printed on 310gsm 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
A joyful celebration of the little gifts that mean the most — a child, a garden and a handful of flowers picked especially for Mum. Bold colour, simplified forms and playful shapes give this painting a sense of childhood wonder, while the warm, familiar scene makes it feel instantly personal.
The painting was inspired by my daughter, who most afternoons heads into the garden with her dad while I make dinner. When she comes back upstairs, she often arrives clutching a few flowers in her hands, beaming as she brings them to me.
I wanted to capture that fleeting kind of childhood moment — the ones that seem small at the time but become the memories you hold onto. Rather than painting the scene realistically, I've simplified the figures and flowers into expressive shapes and patterns, allowing the feeling of the moment to come through.
A meaningful alternative to a bunch of flowers that lasts only a few days, this piece makes a beautiful gift for a mum, new mum or someone who loves the simple magic of family life.

A Note About Colour
My original artworks are professionally scanned using specialist equipment and colour reproduction processes to capture the colours and details as accurately as possible.
Even so, every screen displays colour differently. Your device, screen settings and brightness can affect how colours appear, so the physical print may vary slightly from what you see on screen.
